About me
Mette Aarsheim is a Minneapolis-based artist who works primarily with oil paint and acrylic, as well as collage and printmaking. She works both figuratively and abstractly, rendering humans and nature through an animistic lens. Her use of saturated colors and expressive brushstrokes transforms mundane scenes into mystical landscapes. As a Jewish witch, she uses her art-making process as ritual and spell-crafting.
